Travail is wrapping up its residency in Minneapolis (on Hennepin) with a theme titled Kua. The ticketed dinner is Mexican inspired, pulling on experiences from chef Gustavo Romero (a Mexico City native.) What I loved most about the experience is everyone sits at large, communal tables (my friend and I were seated with 5-6 others) with a Travail staff member at each table to prepare and serve you the dishes. We ate tacos, tamales, fish, street corn, sausages, churros, and lots of Mexican-cocktails and wines. I highly recommend trying out an experience/dinner from Travail, whether it’s the Kua menu or future menus from their newly renovated Robbinsdale space.
