Unfortunately I live in Uptown, so Excelsior is not exactly the most convenient location for me. The food was simple (pasta with red sauce and a meat) but sometimes you don’t need all the frills. I rated Red Sauce Rebellion a 3 because I would always choose to go to a Broder’s or a Bar La Grassa over a place that serves simpler dishes at the same price. They do have several craft cocktails, which I think will bring in lots of people in the summer after a day on the lake. This place comes from the same owners as Coalition (which I love) so I have no doubt they’ll be successful!
