Meyvn (CLOSED PERMANENTLY)

Bagels by day, raw bar/shared plates/craft cocktails by night spot in Uptown!

Meyvn (CLOSED PERMANENTLY)

I teetered between a 3 and 4 rating here, and would do 3.5 if I had that on my website. Meyvn is extremely unique and definitely a welcomed spot to Uptown. I absolutely love bagels, but the bagels here were really expensive (bagel + cream cheese was $5, if you want to add a protein like salmon or egg, the additional cost ranges from $3 – $9.) I think that’s high for a counter service restaurant. Most people have been spotlighting Meyvn’s breakfast/bunch food, but I personally enjoyed dinner the best. The tabbouleh was one of the most delicious I’ve ever had (so many herbs!), and I loved the crudo (marlin, harissa, yogurt, cilantro.) Although still expensive, the food was really dynamic and unique. Overall, the restaurant stands out because it’s surrounded by places serving bar food, but it’s priced too high for the neighborhood.

1. Crudo
2. Tabbouleh
3. Everything bagel, or any of the bagels!
